Description

Two engineers, suffering shock after a mine accident, being brought in by helicopter for medical assistance on 20 May 1967, the day after Ho Chi Minh's birthday. Of this sketched the artist recalled


The secondary inscription on the verso of the sheet reads: 'Tents in amongst the rubber, Nui Dat, 21st 2 days after Ho's birthday', indicating that Fletcher had planned a drawing on the verso to match this title; however no drawing exists, only the inscription.
