Description
Landscape, encampment; view looking towards SAS Hill from airstrip at hill named after the Special Air Services who had their main base camp at the task force base, Nui Dat, Vietnam. McFadyen recalled painting it '...near Kangaroo Pad, looking down towards Long Hi. I was always intrigued with that little mountain, it looked quite beautiful at sunset and in the early morning...A moment of peace in the middle of war.'
