Fighter pilot
Description
Figure of an airman wearing shorts and carrying a parachute. This sculpture of a fighter pilot was commissioned in late 1948 and cast in 1952. It is a larger version of a statuette, 'Airman' (ART90972) also commissioned in 1948 that was cast in multiples and sold to the public.
