General service wagons
Description
Horse-drawn General Service waggons at Beersheba supply depot are preparing to convey supplies over the next stage of the journey. General Service waggons of the various brigades are loading up prior to carrying them across country to the brigade refilling points. This is sixth in a series of eight paintings accoompanying the Palestine dioramas. The series illustrates the Egyptian Labour Corps and the Camel Transport Corps transporting supplies (food, water, clothing and medical supplies) from Deir el Belah on the Mediterranean coast of Palestine through the desert to the troops in battle.
