[Gallipoli landscape with soldier]
Description
A sombre landscape made up of areas of brown, green and blue thinly applied paint with stick-like lines scraped away. To the left is a figure of a soldier that has been created by Nolan using his finger to scrape away the layers of paint. His hat, face, jacket and puttees are indicated by thin brown brush strokes.
