not titled [three soldiers]
Description
Depicts three Australian soldiers, all wearing an Army-issued wool felt beret. One wears an ammunition pouch, another a rifle over his shoulder; together they help a wounded soldier walk to a dressing station. Berets were worn by both commando squadrons and militia during the Second World War. Coupled with the absence of any military insignia or patches, it is difficult to determine to which these soldiers belonged.
