You boast of your freedom, come and fight for it
Description
Australian First World War recruitment poster issued by the State Parliamentary Recruiting Committee. It appeals to young men in Australia to act on their feelings of patriotism to enlist and fight for their freedom. It features two full length portraits one of a young civilian (on the left) the other a soldier in full uniform holding his rifle (on the right). Positioned in the centre of the poster they are facing each other in mildly confrontational poses. The title text printed in red frames the image top and bottom. Both image and text are set against a khaki background.
