Ypres: The centre of Flanders battlefields has grown out of it ashes...
Description
Belgium travel poster produced by the National Railway Company of Belgium (created 1926) during the late 1920s to promote the town of Ypres as a modern travel destination for pilgrims and tourists following its destruction by fighting during the First World War. It features a reproduction of a painting of the ruins of a tower and buildings in Ypres. The reproduction is set against a black background with the title and text in white lettering positioned above and below. In the lower right corner is a small map printed in black and white showing the location of Ypres in the Flanders battlefields.
