recto: Horseplay ; verso: In cases of Serious injury...
British Second World War cautionary poster. During the war, it was important to have each work-age individual available for work. This poster provides advice on first aid in cases of serious injury.
recto: image takes up most of the upper half of the poster with the title positioned in lower centre printed in yellow, both set on brown background. image: stylised graphic of a horses head (similar to a knight chess piece) printed in orange and white. Smaller graphic of two men carrying an injured man on a stretcher is integrated and positioned lower left.
verso: text only centred between two vertical borders printed in green ink. The text gives instructions on what to do in the event of serious injury stressing the importance of not moving the injured unless they are in danger without assistance of skilled First Aid workers.
