Great Victory of the German Troops Over the Italians
Description
Example of German propaganda dropped from a balloon over Messines on 5 December 1917. It is a leaflet printed in black ink. The title ' Great Victory of the German Troops over the Italians' is positioned top centre with the rest of the text printed centre to lower centre. The leaflet aimed to affect the morale of Allied soldiers in trenches on the western front by describing the defeat suffered by the Italians to the German forces at the Isonzo Front.
