From the Prime minister... wings for victory week
Description
British Second World War poster issued by the National Savings Committee, London as part of the 1943 "Wings for Victory" Campaign. Launched in March 1943 this campaign was one of the most successful of the War. This poster features a mock letter from the Prime Minister to the British Public urging them to show their support for the Royal Australian Air Force by contributing to the campaign. The poster has a pale blue background with stylised graphics of clouds and aircraft in the top half with a black and white image of the Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill in the top right corner. Beneath these images in the centre of the poster is a letter from the Prime Minister. The title text is in the bottom panel.
