Description
United States Second World War poster issued by the U S Army Recruiting Publicity Bureau advocating the use of Vmail. Vmail was a form of encoding letters into film, then shrunk in order to avoid heavy and bulky conventional letters and postage. The central image is an attractive woman wearing a pink shirt who has looked up from her letter writing to smile at the viewer. Behind her GI Soldiers receive mail at the front line. The title text in the same pink as her shirt is superimposed over the image at the top of the poster and the rest of the text in white is along the bottom. The Recruiting Publicity Bureau of the U.S Army seal appears in the lower right corner.
