This poster was designed to promote the visit of a special services unit, in an unknown location, during the Second World War. The box at the bottom of the poster has been left blank, so that details of the event could be filled in at a later date. It uses a simple stylised graphic and vivid colour to draw people's attention to the event. The Fourth Liberty Loan with the slogan '"Back the Attack!" was launched by Prime Minister John Curtin on the night of the 4th October 1943 in the Sydney Town Hall. The target of the loan was one hundred and twenty five million pounds and 750,000 subscribers. It closed on 9 November 1943. Groups of Servicemen visited factories and commercial businesses in uniforms as part of the campaign to encourge subscriptions.
