Back the attack buy 4th liberty bonds
Description
Utilising striking typography, this poster aims to encourage the public to purchase Liberty Bonds. This very simple design is highly effective and could have been utilised on a large scale to promote the loan. The Fourth Liberty Loan's slogan was '"Back the Attack!". The Loan was launched by Prime Minister John Curtin on the night of the 4th October 1943 in the Sydney Town Hall. The target of the loan was one hundred and twenty five million pounds and 750,000 subscribers. It closed on 9 November 1943.
