Members of the 4th Australian Division taking part in a water carnival on the Suez Canal on the first Anzac Day. In the foreground the heads of numerous swimmers can be seen in the water, as well as those of the spectators. A humorous float is in the water in the middle of the swimmers, carrying a few people. Other swimmers are approaching or entering the water on the far bank of the river.
