Portrait of 2nd Lieutenant (Lt) Henry William Murray DCM, Officer Commanding 13th Battalion Machine Gun Section, in his dugout at Durrant's Post on the Gallipoli Peninsula. In subsequent years 2nd Lt Murray rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and was awarded a VC, CMG, DSO and Bar, and the Croix de Guerre.
