A group of soldiers or officers mounted on mules, accompanied by Egyptian guides, approaches the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, which was visited by many Australian soldiers stationed near Cairo. Dating from around 2630 BC, the pyramid was the first major structure ever built in stone.
