Group portrait of pilots from 68 Squadron, Australian Flying Corps (later known as No 2 Squadron), posed in front of a De Havilland DH5 aircraft at an aerodrome in Lincolnshire, England. Identified left to right (back row only): Unidentified; Lieutenant (Lt) Douglas George Morrison, C Flight, 2nd Australian Flying Squadron, of East Malvern, Vic. Lt Morrison enlisted on 5 October 1916 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Ulysses on 25 October 1916. He died of wounds on 29 October 1917 in France; Lt Howard; Lt Albert Griggs, C C Flight, 2nd Australian Flying Squadron, of Missippissi, USA, enlisted on 1 October 1916 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Ulysses on 25 October 1916. He was killed in action on 23 November 1917 in France; Lt Agnew; Captain (Capt) McCloughry; Major Walter Oswald Watt; Lt Colonel Burdett; Capt John Bell, 68 Squadron, AFC, died of wounds on 27 December 1917, in France; Capt Wilson; Capt Phillips; unidentified; Lt George Campbell Matthews.
