Description
Turkish prisoners, captured by the Anzac Corps during operations on the Gallipoli Peninsula in August 1915, in a cage above Anzac Cove, in front of the 1st Australian Divisional Headquarters. Note the white arm bands on the sleeves of the Indian soldiers standing guard outside the cage, which were worn during the August operations to distinguish the attacking troops from the enemy.
