Description

Bathers coming ashore in barges at Anzac Cove to seek shelter from 'Beachy Bill', a Turkish artillery battery sited inland which routinely shelled the beach and caused allied casualties. Several bathers are dressing on the path in the foreground, whilst behind the store piles and mule carts of the supply depot, other bathers are disembarking at piers along the beach.
