The graves of Lieutenant Colonel George Frederick Braund and Major Walter White Ellis at Anzac. Colonel Braund was shot by an Australian sentry, when returning from a reconnaissance in No-Man's Land, where he had proceeded without warning his men. The sentry challenged before firing but Colonel Braund apparently did not hear him and did not halt.
