Description
Second World War propaganda poster designed for QANTAS by leading Australian commercial artist Walter Jardine. The image is a depiction of Australian soldiers and a Papua New Guinean in the valley of a jungle receiving parcels dropped by parachute from an overhead QANTAS aircraft. The title text and message is positioned in the lower third beneath the main image. During the Second World War, half the Qantas fleet was commissioned by the Australian government for war service.
