Ryder, Frederick Ewart (Private, b.1885 - d.1957)
Description
180 postcards sent by Private Fred Ryder to his wife Flo and daughter, Dorothy and Byrel Ryder during the First World War, 1917-1918. Ryder served in England and France with the Australian Flying Corps. Fryer mentions few details about the conflict, but writes instead of weather and missing his family, with a number of the cards carrying birthday, Christmas and anniversary messages.
