Biographical notes (6 pages) relating to NX76275 Sister Mary E McGlade, a nurse who served with 13 Australian General Hospital (AGH) in Singapore during the Second World War and was killed in the Banka Island massacre, 1942. The notes were compiled by Dr Kevin Smith and cover McGlade's early years in Armidale, her training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, her service with 13 AGH at Tampoi, evacuation of Singapore on the Vyner Brooke and her death at Banka Island.
