Collection of notes and illustrated records of Army Inventions Directorate in Melbourne, compiled by and including personal notes of Dr Alfred S Fitzpatrick,a civilian scientist working for the Directorate during Second World War. The notebook contains information on such things as camouflage dyes, land mine locators and how the Pacific Offensive of 1943 effected the Directorate. There are photographs or diagrams of inventions submitted to the Directorate by various people as well as a list of projects undertaken in 1944.
