Studio portrait of 3191 Private (Pte) Cyrille Knockaert, 7th Reinforcements, 27th Battalion, of Port Pirie, SA (originally of West Flanders, Belgium). Pte Knockaert enlisted on 6 August 1915 and embarked from Adelaide aboard HMAT Medic on 12 December 1916. He died of wounds on 11 August 1918 in France.
