Description
A sketch by 631 Corporal Charles Robert Blucher of 43rd Battalion, of South Australia, of part of the village of Selles, where his Battalion was billeted, immediately prior to transfer to the Somme, in March 1918. Corporal Blucher carried his sketch with him into the battle of Hamel on 4 July 1918. He was fatally wounded by a piece of shell which passed through the sketch.
