Collection of 400448 Wing Commander Lionel Vivian Hudson, of 12 Squadron RAAF and 82 Squadron RAF. It includes a logbook, 1941-1945, covering his training and service in North Africa, India, the Middle East and the Far East. He also provides an account of the incident, 19 December 1944, that led to his capture in Burma by the Japanese and subsequent imprisonment in Rangoon Prison. Assorted personal papers in the collection include newspaper cuttings relating to Hudson's work as a journalist, 1945, a copy of 12 Squadron's song, and correspondence to Hudson 1977-2001, including a request for information from the CEW Bean Foundation about his journalistic work.
