Description
An Australian Militia recruitment poster dating from 1930 - 1935. It features a central full length portrait of a sergeant standing to attention with his rifle over his left shoulder. To each side of him are 12 illustrations (6 on each side) detailing different army units that recruits could join. Both the illustrations and the portrait are set against a dark green background beneath a yellow banner with the words ' Join the Colours' inscribed on it. Further title text printed in red and black ink is positioned beneath the image against a sky blue background.
