Description

Getting the low-down on eating with chopsticks is Cadet David Manttan, left, of Blackall, Queensland, from the Rockhampton Grammar School Cadet unit. His tutors are Private Peter Preston of Guildford, New South Wales and Private Peter Preston of Parramatta, New South Wales, both members of the 7th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment. Twenty-three school cadets took part in Exercise RIFLE BIRD with 7RAR as village children. The exercise, at the Army's Shoalwater Bay training area, is for 9th Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment, which is going to Vietnam later this year, and New Zealanders taking part in the seventh Exercise TASMAN interchange.
