Description
Collection of TX2131 Captain Jock Groom, 2/40 Battalion, compiled while a prisoner of war from 1942-1945. Comprises a notebook kept by Groom, recording names of soldiers who served with the 2/40th Battalion and information about their movements after capture and imprisonment by the Japanese in 1942. Other records include letters to Groom , written in 1946, from families of men who had died during imprisonment; and a list of Sparrow Force members who returned to Australia.
