[Centurion tank]; verso: Troops going up Lozenge; [Figure]
Description
Twenty-seventh page of artist's sketchbook containing one large drawing. 'Centurion tank' depicts a highly detailed image of an A -Type Centurion tank, with side plates (used in defense of anti-ammunition rounds). On the front of the tank, below the gun barrel are 2 short links of spare track, 3 links, below the upper glacis plate. On either side of the gun barrel mount plate are smoke grenade dischargers. Verso: contains two drawings. 'Troops going up Lozenge' depicts a line of men climbing up a mountain, with heavy packs on their back. The second drawing, 'Figure' depicts a hastily sketched outline of a Korean soldier.
