Description
Studio portrait of 4027 Private (Pte) Ernest James Stewart, 12th Reinforcements, 12th Battalion, of Burnie, Tas. Pte Stewart enlisted on 26 August 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Orontes on 24 November 1915. He was killed in action on 6 April 1917 at Bullecourt, France.
