Description
Small pair of non military style, nickel plated field glasses, partly covered in textured brown leather. There is a centrally mounted adjusting wheel fitted for focus. Both eye pieces are dented and bent.
History / Summary
These binoculars are associated with the military service of SX9224, Gunner, John Konrad Vonow, a driver with the 2/3 Machine Gun Battalion. Vonow was born at Port Pirie in South Australia on 18 June 1919. He enlisted with the Army on 20 July 1940 and served in the Middle East. He was discharged on 19 November 1945.
