Description
Members of the 7th Reinforcements, 4th Light Horse Regiment, grouped informally on the wharf, waiting to embark on the troopship RMS Persia. In the front row, left, crouching is a sergeant with a greatcoat folded in front of him. In the centre, middle row is Lieutenant (Lt) William Ross, of Broadford, Vic. Lt Ross's leather suitcase with his name painted on it is to the right front of the group.
