Description
The L1A2 frog is made from heavy gauge green canvas. The frog has a belt loop that is double stitched to support two canvas scabbard loops. The frog has been polished black. Markings - LUPTON.
History / Summary
The L1A2 bayonet frog was the standard frog used by the Australian Army for the L1A2 bayonet. The frog was issued to 213548 Private Thomas William John Lupton, born 28 March 1943. Lupton served in South Vietnam with 1 Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (RAR) from 5 June 1965 to 3 June 1966. He later served nine years in the Australian Regular Army. He retired from the Army with the rank of corporal with 2RAR.
