Description
Bowden speaks of his three months in South Vietnam, 1966, where he witnessed a United States marine tank and artillery attack on a Vietnamese hamlet in Da Nang; Vietnamese civilians walking before tanks to detect mines; the United States soldiers' attitudes towards the Vietnamese people; the way the territory changed from being friendly one day to hostile the next.
