Description
Some of the last North Korean or Chinese prisoners of war (POWs), from Koje-do Island, disembark from Landing Ship Tank (LST) 1096, walk past UN accredited reporters and US military police in Inchon, South Korea. The prisoners are about to be repatriated as part of Operation Little Switch or Operation Big Switch. This photograph is one of a series taken by Australian Mr Douglas (Doug) Bushby in his capacity as a UN accredited War Correspondent. Mr Bushby devoted much of his time to missionary work amongst Korean refugees, orphans and North Korean and Chinese prisoners of war.
