Description
The soldiers of A Company, 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), are now on duty patrolling the 1st Commonwealth Division sector of the front. The men are issued with special equipment for this work, and here Company Sergeant Major (CSM), Warrant Officer Class 2 (WO2) Ernest Barrington 'Ossie' Ostara (left), of Sydney, NSW, hands wireless operator 13401 Private (Pte) Victor (Vic) Creagh of Pinbarren Creek,Pomona, Qld, his plastic Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) helmet and ammunition. Pte Creagh has a wireless set on his back and his helmet is marked MP.
