An explanation of the Bofors anti-aircraft gun is being given to Private (Pte) John Pinschof, of Abbotts Bromley, Staffordshire, England, by Able Seaman Mervyn Hart, of Adelaide, SA, during a get together by the Army and Navy on board the Australian battle class destroyer HMAS Tobruk at Kure, Japan, during her visit there. Pte Pinschof was called up for National Service training in the British Army on leaving school six months ago. He was a school cricket player and during service in Japan continues to play as a member of the British Commonwealth Ordnance Depot team.
