1640 Sergeant (Sgt) Charles George 'Chick' Shaw, 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR) of Brisbane, Qld examining various types of Zori (Japanese footwear) while on leave in Tokyo. Sgt Shaw has been in the Army for eight years (eight months in Japan and Korea) and was a drover for the Prospect Station, Croydon, North Queensland before joining the Army.
