DCM boys. Group portrait of servicemen at an awards ceremony on the steps of the Federal Parliament House. Newspapers reported that Governor General Sir Ronald Munro Ferguson presented medals to 55 surviving servicemen. Six men were awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medals (DCM) and all or many are in the front row: 2763 F B Rattle (5th from left); 2588 M R Grinham (8th from left – see also DA10482); 2183 J Christie (9th from left); 1096 A W Cavanagh (far right - see also DAOD2287); 223 G J O’Neill and 1215 G H Pitts.
