Description
South African Whalers used by the Royal Navy Eastern Fleet moored at a jetty in Aden, Egypt in March 1943. These ships are equipped with ASDIC (Anti-submarine Detection Investigation Committee), or Sonar, an underwater radar search system designed to locate submarines.A light house and various other buildings sit on the hill in the background, and a mountain sits further beyond.
