Goggles : Corporal A A Rutledge, 2 Cavalry Regiment, East Timor
Pair of Oakley plastic goggles. The flexible goggle frame has a black and grey finish and a single clear plastic lens. The facepiece is padded with foam backed with a soft 'polarfleece' fabric. Ventilation holes in the top and bottom of the frame are covered by a thin layer of foam, which has been marked with 'RUT'. The black elastic head strap is marked with the Oakley trademark (an elongated letter 'O'), and is adjusted by a pair of black plastic slides. The inside of the band has three non-slip bands of latex which are cracked in places. There are a number of scratches on the lens.
Worn by 2806594 Corporal Aaron Allen Rutledge who served as crew commander on an Australian Light Armoured Vehicle (ASLAV) Personnel Carrier (PC) Type 2 with 2 Cavalry Regiment in East Timor.
