Royal Naval Reserve shoulder boards for lieutenant commander
Description
Pair of shoulder boards bearing a gilt Navy button with a screw attachment and a pair of integral laces for attachment. The rank insignia is sewn to a black wool cloth backing which is lined with white ribbed silk. The insignia shows the six-pointed star of the Royal Naval Reserve (RNR) made from intersecting gold lace, with the rank stripes of a Lieutenant Commander, a thin gold braid stripe between two pairs of gold lace waved stripes.
