A57049 Leading Aircraftman (LAC) Trevor James (Fred) Monahan, crewman, No 9 Squadron, RAAF, checks his M60 machine gun before leaving Vung Tau, on a mission over the Australian Task Force Area of Responsibility. During the recent Operation Hayman, LAC Monahan flew in a No 9 Squadron, RAAF, Iroquois helicopter. During this operation the squadron flew Australian troops, food, water, ammunition and over 550 suspected Viet Cong (VC) to the Task Force Headquarters for questioning.
