Description
The original grave and marker in the shape of a cross of 433 Sergeant Robert Percy "Physician" Thomson of Townsville, Qld. He was originally buried near Wady Ghuzze and reinterred at the Beersheba Military Cemetery in Palestine in 1920. A clerk aged 42 when he enlisted, Thompson was a well-known footballer when younger. He was killed in action on 17 April 1917.
