Studio portrait of VX52215 Private (Pte) Harold Kemp, 2/7th Battalion. Pte Kemp enlisted on 1 April 1941 at Royal Park, Vic. His father, VX52215 Sergeant (Sgt) Albert Edward Kemp (who had previously served during the First World War in the 6th Battalion with the service number 6800), and brother, VX5802 Corporal Albert Frederick Kemp (who was killed in action on 12 February 1942), both served in the 2/7th Battalion also. Pte Kemp returned to Australia was discharged on 8 February 1946.
