Collection relating to the United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor (UNTAET) service of 453757 Lieutenant Colonel Jonathon Vere "Jon" Hodge, Royal Australian Army Medical Corps, Dili, 2001.
Wallet 1 of 1 - Consists of a diary maintained by Hodge during a 35-day rotation to East Timor in 2001, where he served as a public health physician for HQ Peacekeeping Force, UNTAET. The handwritten diary covers the period of Hodge's deployment from 16 September to 20 October 2001. Each entry is numbered by day, from Day 1 through to Day 35. The entries describe Hodge's impressions of Dili, routine tasks, conditions and experiences as a medic. Inserted in the rear pocket of the diary are six individual guidance and conduct cards (including a Ten Rules Code of Personal Conduct for Blue Helmets card, two UNTAET green cards of individual guidance on disarmament, apprehension and detention, and two UNTAET blue cards of individual guidance on the use of force), a business card, and a handwritten note.
