Informal portrait of NX172241 (N452827) Craftsman (Cfn) Reginald William Simmons, who was born in Manly, NSW, on 22 February, 1925, and enlisted at Bathurst, NSW, on 28 May 1943. Cfn Simmons served with the 8th Watercraft Workshops, Royal Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RAEME), within Australia during the Second World War and in New Guinea immediately after the Armistice. He was discharged on 10 December 1946.
